Saudi Arabia will Apply Tax tobacco and Drinks Soda
SERAMBINEWS.COM, RIYADH-Saudi Arabia will introduce a new tax on sugared drinks and tobacco products like soda. This is an effort to increase acceptance of State and shift the country's economy from the oil. The Government of Saudi Arabia announced plans for the tax imposition on Tuesday (7/6/2016) local time. With tax, the Government wants to boost non-oil receipts and trim portion of budget spent on wages. Although the basic goods and income tax are not included in the plan, but the Government of Saudi Arabia is planning to introduce a tax on transport and airport levy fees.
