Councillors back more restrictions on smoking, vaping

The city is clearing the air with more restrictions on where people can vape and light up cigarettes and cannabis. At an operations and administration meeting this week, city councillors supported changes to the smoking-clean air bylaw to include smoke-free municipally owned properties. The revisions include: A ban on smoking and vaping of tobacco on all municipally owned property, including parkland, trails, recreation centres and sport facility properties, administrative buildings and parking lots.
