The Federal Highway Police seized a large truck full of "Eight" brand cigarettes that are produced by Tabacalera del Este S.A. (TABESA) linked to former President Horacio Cartes. The vehicle must have been carrying corn, but it was cigarettes that entered Brazil illegally from Paraguay through Lake Itaipu, according to the data.
