Ban on flavoured heated tobacco comes into force in Lithuania
A ban on the sale of heated tobacco products with added aroma or flavour came into force in Lithuania on Monday. Only heated tobacco products with a natural smell and taste will be legal from now on. Their packaging will also have to feature warnings about potential health risks. Flavoured heated tobacco products are currently preferred by 42 percent of heated tobacco smokers in Lithuania. Almost a third of Lithuanian smokers consume heated tobacco products, while in Vilnius, heated tobacco accounts for 38 percent of tobacco sales, the highest in the world.
