Chile seizes Tabesa cigarettes in raid against drug traffickers
In an operation carried out in Antofagasta, Chile, Carabineros dismantled a criminal organization dedicated to marijuana trafficking and cigarette smuggling. Among the items seized were products from the Paraguayan tobacco company Tabesa, reinforcing its link with the regional black market. The procedure included 11 simultaneous raids, culminating in the arrest of 10 people. The operation, led by the Prosecutor's Office of Investigative Focuses and Criminal Analysis of Antofagasta, involved the participation of Carabineros units from different locations, including El Loa, Atacama and Iquique.
