In Styria, nicotine pouches ("snus") may only be consumed from the age of 18. A corresponding amendment to the law will come into force on 1 October. Young people under the age of 18 are not allowed to buy or consume nicotine pouches. As of today, October 1, nicotine pouches can only be bought and consumed in Styria by persons over the age of 18. This goes back to a corresponding amendment to the Styrian Youth Protection Act, which was passed by the state parliament at the beginning of July.
