Commission approves ban on the sale of hookah to people under 18 years old
The Committee on Constitution and Justice and Citizenship of the Chamber of Deputies approved, in a conclusive manner, a bill that expressly prohibits the sale of hookah to minors under 18 years of age. The proposal also prohibits its use in public places, open or closed. The text will go to the Senate for analysis, if there is no appeal for a vote in the Chamber Plenary. The substitute of the rapporteur, Deputy Chris Tonietto (PL-RJ), to bills 9566/18, by Deputy Capitão Augusto (PL-SP), and 10074/18, by Deputy Aureo Ribeiro (Solidarity-RJ), was approved.
