FDA promises forceful steps to halt ‘health tragedy’ of teen e-cigarette use

Children are using e-cigarettes at epidemic levels — and the Food and Drug Administration is going into crisis mode to address the problem. The FDA announced Tuesday it will unveil “forceful” steps in mid-November to cut down on youth use of e-cigarettes, potentially including increased enforcement of identification and age verification requirements.
