CDC Encourages Quitting with Personal Stories
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has relaunched the Tips from Former Smokers campaign to encourage people to quit. This year, the ads feature seven new people sharing their stories of how cigarette smoking and smoking-related illnesses have negatively affected their lives. Many of this year's new ads include messages about the harms of menthol cigarettes, which can contribute to tobacco-related health disparities.
