Muscat: An expat of "Asian” nationality has been arrested on charges of selling illegal cigarettes in Oman, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has said. According to officials, when the accused's house was raided, police found 650 boxes of illegal cigarettes. In a statement online the Royal Oman Police said, "The Criminal Investigation Department at Adam Police Station arrested an Asian national on charges of selling illegal cigarettes. 650 boxes of illegal tobacco were seized at his place of residence.
