Cabaiguán Germplasm Bank: Guardian of the Genetic History of Cuban Tobacco The Cabaiguán Tobacco Experimental Station is home to the most important germplasm bank in Cuba dedicated to this crop, a unique facility in the country that preserves all primitive, local and foreign varieties of tobacco, as well as wild species of the genus Nicotiana and lines obtained from genetic improvement programs.
