Bulgaria introduces European directive against heated tobacco products
MEPs have finally passed amendments to the Tobacco and Tobacco Products Act, thereby introducing the European Union's Tobacco Products Directive, which restricts heated tobacco products to make them less attractive. If Europe does not implement its directive, our country faces sanctions. Low-nicotine products are also classified as tobacco and fall under the ban due to health risks. Radio and television advertisements promoting e-cigarettes, refillable containers and liquids containing nicotine will now have health warnings on them, while banning them.
