Cigarettes change forever in Australia due to new rules

Australians will open their cigarette packs to find health warnings labelled as a candidate as part of the government's tough new smoking storage laws. "Poison in every puff" and "toxic addiction" are just two of the manufacturer's messages that manufacturers must print on every cigarette by April, under government tobacco regulations. Other messages include "damage your lungs," "cause 16 cancers," and "shorten your life." The regulation guidelines were released in October 2024, giving manufacturers five months to comply with the deadline.
