Smoking will become even more expensive
Reaching for cigarettes will soon become more expensive again: On April 1, the tobacco tax will be raised to 83.50 euros per 1,000 pieces. The tobacco industry will pass on some of this increase to consumers as early as March. Smokers will then have to pay 20 to 30 cents more per pack, reported the "Kronen Zeitung" (Friday edition).
