"Potentially addictive": Law that regulates vapers comes into force this Tuesday

Next Tuesday, May 20, Law 21,642 will come into force, which establishes a regulatory framework for the sale of electronic cigarettes, with and without nicotine, in addition to vapor inhalation liquids. The initiative began its legislative discussion in May 2019 and was approved in October 2023. Subsequently, in September 2024, it was enacted and, finally, on February 19 of this year it was published in the Official Gazette. In this context, in different tobacco shops, supermarkets and other specialized stores a new warning can already be seen on the packaging of vapes: "Electronic nicotine delivery systems are potentially addictive.
