CVS ends sale of cigarettes, tobacco products at its 7,600 stores
PROVIDENCE, R.I. — CVS Caremark Corp. said Wednesday that it will stop selling cigarettes, cigars and other tobacco products by Oct. 1 in a move to bring the drugstore chain more in line with the heath-services company it envisions itself to be. “Ending the sale of cigarettes and tobacco products at CVS/pharmacy is the right thing for us to do for our customers and our company to help people on their path to better health,” said Larry J.
