About 1 in 10 adults in CT still use cigarettes, according to the CDC
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) this week launched new ads to encourage people to quit smoking. "When I was a gay teenager trying to figure out who I was, I would hide behind cigarettes," said "Angie P." of Cincinnati, speaking in one of the CDC ads. "It shocked me, I've been a singer since I was three years old," said Angie, who spoke about her medical history in an interview with Connecticut Public and asked not to use her full name.
