Alcohol will rise in price from the new year

From January 1, 2026, a significant increase in excise taxes is planned in Russia, which will lead to an increase in the price of alcohol and tobacco products. According to Interfax, excise taxes on alcohol will increase by an average of 8.9-31%. For imported still wines, the excise tax will increase by 31%, for sparkling wines - by 8.9%, for beer, cider and mead - by about 10%.
