Prices going up again for certain styles of top-selling Marlboro
The spending habits of traditional cigarette smokers is being tested again with Philip Morris USA raising its per-pack prices by 17 to 22 cents for certain styles, including top-selling Marlboro. The list price hike was reported Thursday by Goldman Sachs analyst Bonnie Herzog and go into effect Sunday. It would be the manufacturer’s third for 2024 after similar price increases in January and April. PMUSA also had four price hikes in 2023. By comparison, the most recent traditional cigarette price hike for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. came in December.
