The State Duma adopted in the second reading amendments to the draft law on the implementation of certain provisions of the main directions of tax policy, which provide for the indexation of excise rates on alcohol and tobacco by 5% in 2024 and by 4% in 2025 and 2026. As stated earlier, State Secretary - Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Sazanov, excise rates are indexed to the inflation rate according to the forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development.
