Excise rates will be raised in Azerbaijan from tomorrow. This was reflected in the amendment to the Tax Code, the decree on the application of which was signed by President Ilham Aliyev. According to the law, from 1 January 2024, the excise tax rate will increase from AZN 43 to AZN 45.5 per 1,000 cigarillos (thin cigars), from AZN 38.5 to AZN 45.5 per 1,000 tobacco cigarettes and their substitutes.
