Loading nearly 10 million contraband cigarettes seized

SANTO DOMINGO.-members of the Directorate General of Customs (DGA) seized a shipment of almost 10 million units of Capital brand contraband cigarettes, packaged in 986 cases of 10,000 units each. The merchandise, which had not been declared and which became camouflaged as plastic blinds, pressed and modular panels for panels, was introduced in the country by the port of Haina Oriental, from Manzanillo, Panama, reported the DGA in a statement.
