The Committee on Industry, Commerce and Services of the Chamber of Deputies approved a bill that establishes rules for the sale and inspection of hookah products in Brazil. The proposal defines hookah as a "device for smoking tobacco, with or without flavor, which has a base with water, body, tobacco pot, plate and hose". The text maintains the prohibition on the sale of hookahs and related products to minors under 18 years of age.
