The Verkhovna Rada banned the sale of cigarettes produced in Ukraine in duty-free shops during martial law. Thus, parliamentarians want to get rid of the scheme of illegal sale of cigarettes, allegedly produced for sale in duty free. This was announced by the head of the Council Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Danylo Hetmantsev. "The bill was developed with the aim of destroying the scheme of evasion of VAT and excise tax under the guise of transactions for the sale of tobacco products by duty-free shops," Hetmantsev explained.
