Philip Morris aims to be carbon neutral by 2040

Philip Morris International (PMI) is working to make a 180-degree turn and transform itself into a different company than the one founded in London in 1847. Years ago, the company decided to focus its efforts on addressing the negative impact that its products have on health, developing alternatives to conventional cigarettes without combustion or smoke. Since officially declaring its intention to achieve a smoke-free future as soon as possible in 2016, PMI has fully aligned its employees with this purpose and has rapidly shifted its organizational focus and resources towards smoke-free alternatives.
