In Michoacán, 5 people die every day from tobacco-related diseases

According to statistics from the National Institute of Respiratory Diseases (INER) and the Michoacan University of San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH), five people die daily from tobacco-related diseases in the state, which is equivalent to one thousand 825 a year. The conditions attributable to smoking are cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, neoplasms, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and cerebrovascular diseases.
