Anti-smoking campaigns and laws, do they really work?

Smoking is one of the greatest risks to public health, mentions the World Health Organization (WHO), causing around 8 million deaths worldwide. Of the total of these deaths, 1.2 million die from breathing tobacco smoke indirectly. Faced with this situation, the WHO in 2003 established the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC), which different countries have entered through anti-smoking campaigns and laws.
