How do e-cigarettes increase the risk of heart disease?

A recent U.S. study has warned that using electronic cigarettes in their different flavors may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. The study was conducted by researchers at the Stanford University School of Medicine and published its results in the last issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. Electronic cigarettes are operated by means of a heat heater to heat a liquid containing the nicotine inside, so that the liquid becomes the nicotine vapor inhaled by smokers instead of heartburn as it is done in the usual cigarettes.
