Scientists have found that brisk walking helps to quit smoking Experts from the University of Innsbruck recently learned that brisk walking reduces cravings for smoking and improves overall well-being in those who temporarily abstain from smoking, reports Ferra. As part of the new study, the researchers conducted three experiments involving 16 smokers. Randomly, people took a 10-minute brisk walk in the fresh air, exercised on an indoor treadmill, or simply sat for 10 minutes.
