Cigarette sales have fallen, but why?

The increase in taxes on cigarettes in Pakistan and awareness about the possible health risks caused by smoking have led to a declining trend in cigarette sales in the country. According to the Euromonitor report, price sales fell by one percent in 2022, resulting in annual sales of 60 billion skates, which has fallen by another 2 percent to 55 billion sticks in the recent forecast period. Pakistan Tobacco Company topped the market in 2022 with a retail volume share of 71%.
