Why is J&K govt not enforcing Gutka ban?

Sheikh Saleem Srinagar, Feb 03: Two years have passed since Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI) banned addition of tobacco or nicotine in food, but the Jammu and Kashmir government is yet to take a call on banning Gutka in the state. While 21 states in India have banned manufacture and sale of Gutka, J&K seems to be dragging its feet on the issue despite pleas from various NGOs and petitions in this regard. FSSAI is a statutory body under the health ministry of India to handle food related issues.
